About Course

Welcome to Introduction to Bible Translation I.

Bible Translation (BT) courses are essential in biblical programs for provision of historical, theological and linguistic data and tools required for responsible Scripture translation and use in all aspects of ministry. Integration of BT in theological studies prepares a novel crop of clergy, evangelists, scholars and directly impacts facilitation of accessibility of Scripture and meaningful Scripture engagement to all people and language communities.

Bible translation continues to be an overlooked need among Christian communities in the world today. A discovery of the need for Bible translation begins by; acknowledging the multicultural aspect of humanity with over 7000 spoken and more than 380 sign languages, and the shocking realization that only 10% these spoken languages have a complete Scripture.
