About Course

Bible Translation II is a continuation of the Introduction to Bible Translation I. The course explores the process, the vision for a Bible translation, preparatory steps including the sociolinguistic survey. The linguistic, cultural, and theological dimensions of translating Scripture. Emphasis is on the practical use of simplified tools for oral translation. Students participate in a Bible translation project using the Spadv and Honeybee tools.
